Garden Fest 06
Over the weekend, my dd sponsored me to a photo-taking session - The Singapore Garden Festival priced at $12 for adults...Venue - Suntec Convention Hall 4 & 6. I was pretty skeptical about the show as we have seen the flower displays in Sentosa and frankly speaking, it's not that spectacular but it's free lah....haha...so no complaints. So when my dd ask me to go with him to the Garden Fest, I was like nagging him....Are you sure its worth the $12? I can eat a Jack's Place Lunchie with that money u noe...waaah...got yummy soup with garlic bread, main course, dessert and tea ahhh....haha....n then he tickled me....bleh....
Anyway, we met up with another couple fren for the displays and surprisingly, it's better than I expected...while, come to think of it, I wasn't expecting much either wat....keke....Well, due to the huge space that Suntec Convention offers, the displays were pretty huge and grand. I wouldn't say it's worth $12 but I did enjoy going through and marvelling at each display.

On the left is the first display we saw that features a futuristic kinda image, titled a New World. On the right is us under a display that looks like the shimmering fireworks that we saw during the Singapore Fireworks Fest. Ooooh....I love fireworks! keke....
This is a cute little display of 2 love-struck grasshoppers staring into each other's eyes around a ball of roses...awww...okay, I made that up! muahahaha....

I was particularly impressed with this display as it really takes me into a whole different world. It is shaped like a dome made from dried leaves with a very natural kinda feeling, at the same time pretty out of this world. This display aims to advocate an awareness in our natural world and what the world will look like if humans continue to ignore the "signs" and continue harming the environment. Very strong message successfully brought across in this display.
This cactus damn cutie right? hee hee...

okays, I shall end this entry with a paparrazi shot of my camera-shy couple frens and final photo taken with my dd....hee hee...my camera sux...coz the lightings in the hall was pretty dim and it's really difficult to shoot with a pns (point & shoot) camera....sigh....
