Turkey Travel Mates get2gather
Mj, Lq, Wen & me decided to meet up over Turkish dinner one day. Hee...some might find it funnie coz I meet up wif u all most of the time but u noe....its difficult for the rest to meet the others.....if u get wat I mean....hee....nvm......anyway, finding a Turkish restaurant was pretty easy with Tukish food enthus like Mj & Lq present. haha....We quickly settled for a turkish rest. in Suntec. Very good food & great service from the boss. - he even showed us how to cut, soaked and eat this yummy pistachio dessert wif milk.

Hee....Here is part of what we had for dinner. Mutton & Chicken Set. Considering I cant stand mutton, this chef made it soooo tasty that I'm so surprise I'm eating mutton! haha....Totally taken back....but its damn good food.....only thing is....its very ex!!! haha.....so, be prepared to pay for it! keke....I dun mind.....hee....gd things must support one! keke.....

Genting cum KL trip with dd

dd & me decided to go for a trip to Genting & KL to relax a bit and do some grandma visitings....hee.... So off we went one Fri nite on a coach to Genting. I remember arriving at 4am in the damn cold mornings and cheapskate us just didnt wanna get a room just yet! muahaha....so we have no choice but to seek shelter in Macdonalds n ate our breakfast till ard 5+am I guess and still cant check in.....damn.....keke.....so no choice lor, have to walk ard & racque in our zoombie state. Good thing is its not spore sch holidays anymore, nor msia sch holidays.....so the rates r cheaper n a lot less pple! which is sooooo good! haha.....We went for the theme park and I got to sit on my fav ride for at least 6-8 times....I lost count! muahaha.....photos r in my dd's laptop....so cant post it yet....maybe next time! hee hee.....fun!!!

In the evening, we decided to check out the casinos....my dd suggested me trying the jackpot since its my first time here and it'll not be considered an experience if I've not experience gambling as a "first person" in a casino! hahaha.... Its soooooo boring to see pple just hitting the buttons and trust me, I have absolutely no idea how to win the various combinations they do......n I don't think most of them know either....coz I saw this guy, whose register kept on clink clink clink.....his amount kept rolling on.....n nah, he didnt show much reaction or a clue as to what he won....n how he won.....he just shrugged at us when we asked him what combination he won with.....nah....I'm absolutely not gonna experience such bo liaoz gambling.....so we move on to table games.....I was quite fascinated with one game called "3 pictures"....so we stood and observed how to play....haha....quite easy....its luck.....either yes or no kinda game....a 50-50 chance.....n some "experts" wld deem it very much a sequence game....experience it urself and u'll noe wat I'm toking abt! keke.....my dd changed RM100 and gave me RM50 to play with.... beginners' luck....keke... I won RM300 with RM0 (I returned my dd RM50 when I win my first 100 u noe...keke) wahahaa....hows that for luck! keke....my dd won RM100 too....heee.....but we gave all our money to my grandmama.....so um....sigh.....no spending money for us lah....kekekee.....but for the experience wat....I'm happie!!! heee.....

Being in Genting makes me feel like I'm in 2 very different worlds....a kids world and an adults world.....n I get to experience both thrills in a day....kekeke.....not bad.....KL trip was pretty relaxing.....we ate my fav bak kut teh....a must for me when I'm in msia.....keke.....visited my grandmama.....went out for dinner with my cousins and basically just relax......by the time I'm baq in spore....I'm soooo drained thou! hahaha....

Hee.....This pic was taken with my Sony hp.....We were playing ard with it on our coach baq from KL....can even add bear bear n heart heart to the pic.....hee....so fun! keke....can also add frame if u want to.....nice phone for photo taking.....hee.... sony's lens not bad.....but I'm still a canon fan thou! kekeke.....just putting it here in case anyone interested in a gd camera phone....so far no complains! heee.....

Kids Outing in Botanic Gardens

A few days after I came baq from my Msia trip, is my outing with my volunteer center kids....hee.....We prepared treasure hunt, games, riddles and picnics for these lovely little ones..... Looking at their happy faces and their enthusiasm makes me feel that we really did a great job in keeping them entertained and energised. Hopefully, its been a very worthwhile learning experience for them. For me, its definitely a learning experience.....yeah man, I learnt that I'm an old woman!!! Heeelp.....I absolutely cant keep up with the running, the shouting and the attention for each child.....oh boy......by the end of the trip, my head was spinning, I cant eat more than a bite of bread, my face was as red as a tomato and best of all, I was like being drained of all my energy.....On my way baq in the bus, I just sat and slept man! I mean.....as a teacher.....I'm not supposed to fall aslp but I did.....damn! I'm such a bad teacher.....sigh.....I guess I better start to exercise.....wail....n oh, I had a full blown migraine for the next 2 days as well.....I'm DAT weak har? Sigh.....I'm DAT weak! Hate it! U'll see....I'll be stronger n better next time.....just for my little ones by the next outing! Hee......I need to be stronger!!! Arrghh......Kick boxing!!! I need kick boxing classes again! Da da da Kung fu fighting....Hah! Hoo!.....

Mt Faber Short Car Trip
One bored day after dinner....keke....my dd decided to bring me up Mt Faber n walk walk coz I neber go there b4 u noe....so sua ku rite? hee hee.....but well....now I can say I been there, walked there can? keke...... Its really nice, I feel..... Really very good, non-obstructed view and they have this place with a sundial kinda thing which tells u the direction of the various places of interest/landmarks and countries ard Spore. For a person who have absolutely no sense of direction, this is soooo fun to look at! haha.....Here's the top of the hill view:

Let me see....what haf I been bz with....hmmm.....HK biz cum leisure trip...

Love it - Companion (Jac, April, Haz & Hubby, Jenny Kwan), time off my normal routine, flying on SQ, cool weather, dim sum (Lai wong bao), photo taking opportunity, new experiences, cheap phone bills....

Hate it - Travelling to work & town, waking up early, damn ham & cheese sandwich, rude locals, stupid company policies, pollution, scary hospitals & doctors, incompetent hotel staffs....

Love it - Oh, I met this Australian guy in the plane who's super handsome and shy....hee....too bad didnt get his name card...hee hee....I'm so shy ne...didnt dare tok to him much also....keke....but he's handsome....droool! kekeke....

Hmmm....just went for my JC fren's wedding dinner yest....proposal was pretty sweet but dunno y the topic among frens r abt wedding wedding and more wedding....sigh.....faint! keke....I still dun really noe the fun of throwing a banquet.....I just noe its an essential if u haf traditional family members.....but the money, the trouble, the work, the silly yam seng thingy is just not worth the trouble.....sigh.....fillial piety vs all the preparation trouble....how do u suppose I'll win, u tell me?

April comes and goes so damn fast.....and before I noe it, May is already here.....need to find my attachment sch again.....if not I wun be able to graduate in Sept liaoz.....sigh.....bz time again..... I must perserve!!!!

Adulthood

Life just gets so complicated as you grow older....

Just today, my dad was asking my dd to come have lunch with us coz he cooked today and as usual, would love to call everyone he knows to try his new "inventions"....In case you dunch noe my dad....well, he loves to cook....n its alright if he cooks some of his signature dishes....but nooooo....instead, he luvs experimenting with the food he cooks.....Like his fav dish of speghetti with ikan bilis and minced meat in sesame oil.....n now, he added lime juice in the dish....keke.....god knows what else he'll add in next......keke.....not complaining thou.....coz it really tastes good.....but a bit scary to guess what's next.....haha.....

Oh yeah....talking about my dad asking abt my bf.....I told him he went for some silly cat show in expo.....I'm afraid of animals so I refused to go! keke......n my dad was like.....wat? Cap show? No no......Caaaat show!!! Crab? noooooo.....u noe....meow meow cat......cat show!!! wahhahaa.....faint......

There was once upon a time where pple tell u cat and you'll shout "meow meow".....u noe.....totally understanding the meaning......then there were more vocabularies like cap, crap, crab and cab which makes life all the more complicated.....now that's what I call the complications of adulthood.....we spend our lives in a race to learn or master as much things as we possibly can......only to add complications to life....haha.....what an irony!

Weekend Outings...

oooh....my legs & butt hurts to the cooorreeee......sobz.....but wat an experience....wooo hoooo!

Yest, me & a gp of my sec sch frens gathered for a nite of adventure & quest - Nite Cycling! kekeke.....Our aim is to "dong" the whole nite from 9pm till 8am the next day....so away we went to East Coast Park (ECP) to rent our bicycle for $5!!! My gosh....so damn cheap and they even free a bottle of mineral water for us......waaah.....great start! keke.....excited us then started cycling....we cycled for a WHOLE 15mins....keke....saw the hawker and we stopped for supper.....whahahaa......glutton us wanna start our quest full full instead of hungry hungry then no energy mah....after that we cycled for another WHOLE 10mins.....aiyooooh.....rain started to pour.....managed to find an empty pavilion....hee hee....wat luck! Luckily we brought cards....poker, mahjong cards and then ended up with UNO....heehee....can imagine how long we waited and aiyooooh....so far only cycled for like a whole 25mins??? hahaha.....meijuan exclaimed "waaah.....$5 wasted leh! hahaha".....n I tot to myself.....chey....nite cycling.....CHICKEN FEET ah......

Okies.....rained stopped ard 2am.......n we finally get to start our adventure!!! kekeke.....my gosh.....wat a nite it turned out to be.....guess where we ended up??? Changi Village! Yes.....no joke....we cycled from ECP --> Tanah Merah somewhere --> The damn long road beside the Airport Runway --> Changi Village...... Stopped to check out "ah guas", ate nasi lemak & milo dino, went toilet --> Loyang --> Tampines.....my gosh.....I checked my watch 4.30am!!!! Almost fainted.....keke.....but it was a fanstastic experience.... if not for the wee hours of the nite, when can u find a time where u own the road, raced ur bicycle with the aeroplanes, enjoy the cooool wind & mist of the nite or rather early mornings, cycle without having to stop once for pedestrians....whoooa! hee hee......butt....yeah......my butt hurts.....sobz sobz..... Nite cycling chicken feet my head.....me & my big brain.....waiiiil......

Been wanting to blog last weekend but very very tired....so might as well blog for last week's activity here....hee hee......well, I went trekking with my dd to MacRitchie Reservior for the treetop walk.....my gosh.....that was another strenuous activity....keke.....I hafta walk like 5km just to reach the hanging bridge.....waaaahhh.....my leg so pain pain ne!!! But luckily my dd strong enuf to piggy back me, pull me up the slopes, carry my heavy water bottles......yeah.....basically my labourer for the day.....whahaha...... Here are some photos....keke.....Its fun thou.....I love bonding time with my dd.....hee hee.....dun tink it'll be that fun and special with some other.....totally agree....nods head....hee hee....

A story that made my day...

The children in my attachment sch was asked to make their own story book with their drawings.....n guess wat my fav student drew:

Page 2 - He drew a train with an orange sun
Page 3 - He drew a train with a yellow sun
Page 4 - He drew a train with a blue "sun"
Page 5 - He drew a train with stars and moon

And when we asked him to share his story book with the class, he illustrated with the most confident voice:

Page 1 - My story is "I'm going to Sentosa"
Page 2 - Morning (pointing to orange sun), I wait for train go Sentosa
Page 3 - Afternoon (pointing yellow sun), I wait for train still
Page 4 - Evening (pointing to blue "sun"), I wait for train not yet arrive
Page 5 - OOooooooh!!! We're at Sentosa.....The end....

wahahaha......I laughed sooooooo hard that my eyes just kept tearing.....hahahaa.....u shld just see his expression......he seem soooooooo satisfied with his story......um.....not exactly the best story book but thumbs up for the time concept I guess! whahahaha.....

I just luv my attachment kids.....Just today, I told them I only have 2 days left and they were like....."haaaaaaaaar, teacher Irene, I dun wan u to go".......soooooo sweet rite? Then the kids started to write their telephone numbers and add and ask me to call them....haha.....sigh.....2 more attachment days left b4 I clear this module....soooobz.....gonna miss them sooooo soooooo much.....waaail.....

Then he go on to tell me his observations.....makes me realise that its true that we tend to protect the gals more u noe.....maybe we need to pay more attention to equality....sigh....its tough being a teacher ne.....
